修寶：「前面的觸鬚越來越多了！再往前走，會越來越難閃躲！」
Xiubao: “There are more and more tentacles ahead! It'll get harder and harder to dodge them if we keep moving forward!”

瑞德：「降低速度，保持隊形就好。」
Redd: “Slow down. Just maintain formation.”

尤里：「可是……我們到底要去哪裡啊？」
Yuri: “But… where exactly are we going?”

瑞德：「前面的岔路，左轉。」
Redd: “Turn left at the fork ahead.”

修寶：「哪裡有岔路？」
Xiubao: “Where's the fork?”

瑞德：「現在——轉彎！」
Redd: “Now—turn!”

整支部隊猛然轉向。
The entire squad suddenly turns.

只見命隙部隊的機甲與戰車，正穿梭在巨大的怪物孵化槽之間。
The mechs and vehicles of the Riftbreak Squad weave between enormous monster incubation chambers.

四周，一隻又一隻巨型的高腳蜘蛛型怪物佇立在黑暗中。
All around them, gigantic spider-like creatures with long legs stand in the darkness.

牠們沒有眼睛。
They have no eyes.

數十條細長的觸鬚，從身體下方垂落，貼著地面緩慢移動。
Dozens of thin tentacles hang beneath their bodies, slowly crawling along the ground.

那些觸鬚不斷碰觸著散落在地上的孵化卵。
The tentacles constantly brush against the incubation eggs scattered across the ground.

牠們以此確認孵化卵的狀態，確保整個孵化過程維持穩定。
They use them to monitor the condition of the eggs and ensure the entire incubation process remains stable.

這些觸鬚，也是牠們唯一的警戒系統。
Those tentacles are also their only detection system.

只要有任何異常的震動或碰觸，都可能立刻引起怪物的注意。

瑞德：「麥特給我的。」
Redd: “Matt gave me the information.”

嵩馬：「麥特？」
Shuma: “Matt?”

瑞德：「有人把這些怪物的資料庫交到了他手上。」
Redd: “Someone gave him the database containing information about these creatures.”

馬汀尼：「你們兩個不要在無線電裡聊天了！」
Martini: “You two, stop chatting over the radio!”

馬汀尼：「我們現在的機甲跑得快要散架了！」
Martini: “Our mechs are practically falling apart from how fast we're moving!”

鐵齋：「這些觸手真的太多了……根本沒辦法好好閃！」
Tessai: “There are way too many tentacles… there's no way to dodge them properly!”

路德：「既然牠們根本看不到我們，為什麼不直接攻擊？」
Luther: “If they can't see us at all, why don't we just attack?”

瑞德：「路德。」
Redd: “Luther.”

瑞德：「你當初從宇宙掉下來的原因，是什麼？」
Redd: “What was the reason you fell from space in the first place?”

路德一愣。
Luther freezes for a moment.

路德：「……就是那些黑色物質。」
Luther: “…It was that black substance.”

瑞德：「沒錯。」
Redd: “That's right.”

瑞德：「而那些黑色物質，就是從這些怪物身上來的。」
Redd: “And that black substance comes from these creatures.”

路德：「什麼？」
Luther: “What?”

眾人一瞬間安靜下來。
Everyone falls silent.

瑞德：「如果破壞牠們的腹腔，裡面的黑色物質就會大量噴發。」
Redd: “If we rupture their abdomens, the black substance inside will burst out in massive quantities.”

瑞德：「有些會落入地面，滲進土壤。」
Redd: “Some of it falls to the ground and seeps into the soil.”

瑞德：「有些則會一路飄升，甚至進入大平流層……最後漂向太空。」
Redd: “Some of it rises through the atmosphere, even reaching the stratosphere… and eventually drifts into space.”

尤里：「所以……那些宇宙裡的黑色怪物……」

瑞德：「就是牠們的產物。」

瑞德：「只要孵化完成，就會成為新的怪物。」
Redd: “Once they finish hatching, they'll become new creatures.”

Shuma: “So… where exactly are we going?”

瑞德：「快到了。」
Redd: “We're almost there.”

眾人面面相覷。
Everyone looks at one another.

前方的怪物孵化卵後方突然出現一道巨大的洞口。
A massive opening suddenly appears behind the monster incubation eggs ahead.

車隊猛然衝進去。
The convoy suddenly rushes inside.

BOOM—!

眼前深不見底的隧道。
A seemingly bottomless tunnel stretches out before them.

下一秒，整支部隊駛入一條巨大無比的人工隧道。
The next moment, the entire squad enters an enormous artificial tunnel.

隧道的兩側，是高聳得看不見盡頭的巨大壩體結構。
On both sides of the tunnel are colossal dam structures that rise beyond sight.

Guren: “Ironwall Floodgate.”

紅蓮：「壩體內部。」
Guren: “Inside the dam.”

瑞德：「哈哈。」
Redd: “Haha.”

紅蓮沉默了一會兒。
Guren remains silent for a moment.

紅蓮：「其實……我一直很好奇。」
Guren: “Actually… I've always been curious.”

修寶：「好奇什麼？」
Xiubao: “Curious about what?”

紅蓮看向瑞德。
Guren looks at Redd.

紅蓮：「我們的任務……現在可以說了吧？」
Guren: “Our mission… you can tell them now, right?”

瑞德沉默片刻。
Redd remains silent for a moment.

嘴角微微揚起。
The corner of his mouth slowly rises.

“Create the flood!”

所有人瞬間安靜。
Everyone falls silent.

隧道深處。
Deep within the tunnel.

巨大的水壩結構，在黑暗中緩緩浮現。
